Ralea offers  a very systematic teaching and training program with proper horsemanship and correct riding fundamentals being the core of her focus.  From young horses, through Grand Prix she focuses on proper ground work, versatility, trails and hacking and good turnout.  She believes horses should be horses, and enjoy their training. She says " The horse needs  to become your friend and partner, your family, not your servant.  They need to want to  have fun and become ambitious for the goal too!" 

She herself trains often with her coach Jan Ebeling ,  including going to Wellington multiple times a month for coaching to help her pursue her own big dreams with her Holstiener Mare Gatienne.

 She has a calm understanding of horses and welcomes complex training issues. Ralea's training style is very methodical, being fair, kind, and purposely clear to the horses. Under her training, horses  progress quickly without pushing them or being unfair. She strives not to overwork them, having a keen understanding of how to bring about cooperation and partnership and most of all enjoy their work and have fun. Under Ralea's training horses learn how to relax, become happy, stay sound, and display a willingness to work. For Ralea, it is of paramount importance that horses live normal lives in grassy pastures, day or night, as conditions permit. Horses require protection, care and compassion, for which Ralea is ever vigilant. In addition, she takes a selective approach to the clients she acquires.  Ralea's focus is on quality instruction, which limits client numbers. However, any level of instruction is offered. Also, all breeds and riding disciplines are welcomed. Ralea values a client's sincere desire to ride well, improve their skills and enjoy the journey. Appreciation for the competitive spirit, and mindful of the glories of a winning partnership, Ralea will never jeopardize a horse's welfare and future over a fleeting quest. Slow and steady wins the race. Ralea has a particular passion for training and showing young horses. Many clients have high regard for Ralea's approach  with horses displaying behavioral problems, as well as training campaigning stallions. Ralea has an intricate understanding of multiple horse breeds. Over the years she has become knowledgeable with the training challenges of many breeds including Warmbloods, Lusitanos, PRE’S, Friesians, Quarter horses and many others. A particular favorite breed is Morgans, due to her first acquisition after outgrowing her Welsh Shetland Pony, Thunder, at age 13. All this has led to Ralea developing into an excellent trainer, and a valued asset for anyone wishing to buy or sell horses in a honest and professional manner.
